I'm considering relocating the battery to the trunk. One person on another website says that you should get a battery that has a higher CCA rating because it will be further from the starter and may not have enough juice to crank. He said his under the hood Optima battery would not start his car from the trunk and he had to buy some more expensive brand with a higher CCA.
I know from searching the CEG forums that many here use Optima batteries without the above problem. I just wondered what CCA you have, for those of you who have them in the trunk. AutoZone carries these in several ratings for around $100-$110. I think my stock battery under the hood is around 570 CCA.
