First computer I owned was a Commodore VIC 20, with the cassette memory. This was around 1984. I had some limited experience with computers at work since we had just gotten a Cromemco (2 8" floppies, no hard drive, 19" color terminal, circa 1982) that was dedicated to data gathering in a powerplant.

First "modern" PC computer at work was a Zenith 8086, monochrome monitor. The "important" people had just gotten upgraded to Zenith 286's with hard drives (12 mhz, 20 meg HD), making the rest of us very jealous.
