I definitely don't think my family would win for geekiest. But before I was born, my dad saved boxes and boxes of unused punch cards in case I would need them when I started university. I had two toys growing up: Lego, and AutoCad. I'm about 6 months away from completing my Engineering undergrad and applying for med school.

UofR '92 BA Political Science (NOT a geek), J.D. George Washington University Law School '96 (STILL NOT a geek). I started in the ME program (lasted one year) and had good friends in the optics program, so I guess I'm just a tiny bit geek.
I just moved back to Rochester a couple months ago, I close on my house in Farmington this week (finally!!!). Gotta get back to Nick's for a garbage plate one of these days (nights are soooo much more interesting though, I remember back in the day having the ability to buy pretty much anything illegal in the way of drugs or women there, never partook but it was nice to know it was available if needed ) Scary thing was I don't think I've even been to Nick's while drunk Mmmmmm, Jay's gravy fries Great, now I'm hungry and there isn't jack for good junk food out here in the boonies.

Weird - we must have been in some off the same freshman classes! I was U of R class of 92 in Mech E. (and my name is Scott), and here we both are on the CEG board.
Wait - do you know Jason Bassingthwaite? He was optics 92,

Nope, don't know Jason by name, probably by sight though, as with most of my fellow alumni. I'm lousy with names but pretty good with faces.
Yep, we must have been in some of the same classes (and many of the same frat parties too I bet). I lived on Hoeing 3L. Oh, the memories.
Small world, huh?

I was a DU - we weren't that big in 91-92 as we were just restarting (they kicked the guys out in the 60's IIRC), but we still had some good parties. (I freely admit I went greek just for cheap beer and better access to women ) We started with a floor out in Anderson then moved out to Phase.
Remember D-Days? My freshman and sophmore years we got a ceg and rolled it around campus in a shopping cart - now that was a good time!
Small world for sure.

I have to ask just wtf is "Network Administrative Programming". Sounds like one of those non-specific titles that companies give their hell desk workers...
Anywho... I don't think 'geek level' should be based on scholastic achievement. Just about anyone can get a Bachelor's or even Master's degree with enough money and time.
Geekiness is a lifestyle, and to each their own. I build and break UNIX servers. I'm obsessive-compulsive about my home theater setup. I'm a complete technophile. And yes, I'm a geek.

Even if you don't have the answer, you certainly have to admire the problem.
