Actually, I understood perfectly what you wrote. I just feel that putting 100 watts per channel to a pair of coax speaker could be very dangerous. When you over drive an amp, it clips, which i believe is what you were getting at. Amps clipping or sending ditortion don't kill speakers. They are oblivious to what they are playing and can't tell if the signal is distorted or not, if the distortion is caused by a VC rubbing, or some other physical problem, that can definitely kill speakers... 50 watts being sent to a pair of coaxes is definitely not a bare minimum, rather pushing the maximum. Besides, based on the rest of the sytem, it doesn't appear that he is planning on a competition system.

Vinny, JVCs QC has improved tremendously in recent years. I would consider one of their HUs but all of your suggestions were excellent.
