I test drove one when they came out, and really liked it. Its a beautiful car, and the interior just felt like it was far above the SVT. It doesn't push you back in your seat as much as the SVT, but it was still fun to drive. If I hadn't modded my car, and could have afforded it, I would seriously have considered leaving the SVT there and picking one up. I'm glad I didn't though.
FWIW, there are an increasing number of Mazda6's reporting rust in door jam/water runoff areas, something to keep an eye out for if you buy one.
