Second that! You'll be out some dough and still be driving a FWD V6 sedan (albeit a nice new one). Save a few more bucks and do a REAL trade-up like for an M3.

OKAY, OKAY everybody, I DIDN'T DO IT! The salesman called me today and I happily declined. Whew! I've apologized to my CSVT, and treated her to some brand new Mobil One, a car wash, and a nice long drive to make up for my transgressions. She has forgiven me and we are in love all over again.

I must have caught some type of new car bug or something. Besides, what the hell was I thinking anyway, I've got a kid on the way! Well, thanks everyone for the good advice and for the b*tch slaps. I appreciated it.

I guess I am the only one who thinks you should have gotten rid of the contour.

I have to agree with the one guy who said to atleast wait for the MazdaSpeed 6, I wonder what thats going to look like and would they use the hatchback version for that I don't blame you for adding to your car note and thats why every year I just make my CSVT better than it was the previous year, alot cheaper than getting a new car

It has nothing to do with "Getting rid of the Contour" or "Getting into a new car".

It's John's circumstances:
1. John, Jr. is on the way
2. his SVT is almost paid off
3. his SVT has low miles
4. his SVT is not a daily driver

He'll be done paying the SVT off soon - it doesn't make sense to start car payments all over again with kid on the way!

Paid my SVT off in Feb. 02, and my son was born Sep. 02. I am sure glad I didn't get into another car payment.

I had no clue about his circumstances. From his post I assumed that he had a chance to get another car. My bad.
