OK gang, for a couple years now, we've had a pretty big g2g. Most recent was Nashville and before that was in Atlanta. When/where do you guys want the next meet? Personally, I'd prefer to invade a new city. We haven't been to Knoxville in a while. The problem with planning a meet in a different city, though, is that I (or someone else) doesn't know the city. The last meet I did (ATL) was a headache to say the least. I could plan a bazillion events if it's in Chattanooga, but I would need help planning for another city. As of late, Amanda, Gib, Bryan, et al., have been kinda quiet on the boards and I wouldn't want to ask them to run this. If we do Knoxville, that's relatively close to 129 and I can go kill Hector and leave him in the woods. The Andretti Speed Lab in ATL went over real well last winter, so that's an option. Of course, we don't really need to go anywhere, we had a BBQ at the Nashville meet and that was really really great. Speaking of BBQ, HSV has Gibson's, nuff said there. I know Rich wants to have another meet down his way, and I don't want this meet to interfere with that. Or if they are the same meet, then that's great, too. I don't want our travelling families to have to choose between the two. The cities I listed are where I know there are plenty of dependable CEGers. That doesn't necessarily limit the possible locations to just those options. I would like to have a meet further south than ATL so that we can get the deep deep south SECEGers up from FL. (hint hint) That's why I listed Albany. Anyway, first let's pick a place, then date, then we can make plans. I'm shooting for March; but again that's flexible, pending Rich's plans. Whaddya think?

Thanks for thinking of me and the floridians. Though Tifton may be a better place, but I'm not sure what all is available there. Here, we could do the normal, eat somewhere thing and meet. We also have 1/8 mile drag strip that would be fun. At night there is always those cruises to go show the honduhs what's up. And I could get us a deal for go-kart rides, laser tag, games, etc. where I work. But I don't think people like Albany. I'd LIKE to go somewhere, like close to the Dragon, but that'll have to wait till I'm in college.

Glad you're putting in your 2 cents for the meet.
Yeah Kremi, typical meet stuff = food + driving fast, driving fast = either drag strip, auto-x, twisty roads, etc. I'm sure we'll have a blast, it's just up to decide where and when.

Don't matter where in the SE it is, I'll drive up from South Florida. Track time, or a Dragon run are both great options & the main attaction that I'll look forward to.
Dragon runs are low dollar for those concerned about that, and not so hard on your car (for the most part).
I look forward to meeting y'all.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

i know a bunch of people have done a dragon run lately, i wouldnt mind, always wanted to, dont think the lady would come with me though....with enough notice, i could pretty much make it anywhere, any weekend, lot easier now for me to make weekend trips not working in a chain pharmacy anymore....i can help with k-town planning, i lived up there for a couple of years my first two years of college, also jed (draonbreth) is from k-town......
while we are polling, anyone interested in a Nashville Predators hockey game, wouldnt have to take the place of this meet, maybe just a supplemental, could come up for the afternoon, hockey at night, crash at my house if need be, go home sunday......

Sorry guys, I have to vote HSV. I would love to make it to K-Town or some of the others, but since I am working so much more now it would make it really hard to make it. It's not as easy for me to take off in the middle of the day anymore and I normally drive about 250 miles a day at work in the styique already. Adding another 200 or more would be HELL! I mean, I dig my car and all, but I have to draw the line ya know. I do still like the idea of doing something similar like this past April. Heading up to Nashvegas on Saturday to meet up again would be cool. Although Hector would have to come out of his room a little earlier then what he did at the past meet. But if there was any central location, I would have to say it would be Birmingham or Aurbun (sp?) even. Either of these two locations would make it a little easier on our Floriadian brothern to make the trip. I don't think Aurbun has to much though.

I'm in sorta the same boat, that's why I voted Albany. I work all the time (and need the money) and go to school all week during school year. Then I have a mom that won't OK just any trip I wanna go on. Then I have a car that's got over 95k miles and acts funny sometimes. I'll see some of ya'll down in Silver Springs, but it'll probably be a while before I get to head north for a meet.
