VW trannies do suck... i know i own one. VR6's are damn good motors but if i had to choose i would take the 1.8T. A heck of a lot lighter and has just as much potential as the VR6.

It was a Car&Driver comparison test; I can't remember which issue. Lemme try to dig it up in their online archives...

Check the sig. I ran 10psi at redline. Best time was 13.4. Highway though was amazing. I am looking into a SVT Contour now that my VR6 is deseased though. I cant decide.
