You've got a 2000, so I expect you have the upgraded plastic pump installed in your car from the factory. I have the original factory installed upgrade pump in my 1999 SE V-6 with 58,000 miles on it. No hint problems thus far, the temp is holding at a very low level - even in the warmest Florida weather.
Thoughts about a replacement pump have been put on hold for now. The new plastic pump has been shown to be much more reliable than the old plastic, and the metal impeller pumps have been know to have bearing or seal failure. I'll wait it out & likely buy a new plastic impeller pump next year sometime.
