I was thinking this a while back....

right...), and say you own a junk 96 Contour, couldn't you import/buy a 96 Mondeo (mk2) in Mexico, then come up here and put your Contour badges in place of Mondeo and put your plates on it?
As long as they were the same color, I don't think you'd have many problems. Only one I can think of is disposing the now title-less Contour.
Not sure if that would work everywhere, but I'm sure it would work in Iowa, since there are no inspections here (not even to get plates).
I know it's a dumb idea, but couldn't it happen?
