What motherboard is it? I read a while back that there are some problems with early revisions of the nForce2 boards getting certain RAM to work right. If you have an Abit NF7 and its not a rev 2.0 board then I would bet that is your problem. If so I would recommend updating the BIOS and if that doesnt work then return it and get a new one from Newegg. They only sell rev2.0 NF7's.
