The SVT's and pre-98 Contours don't have rear cupholders, due to the design of their middle console compartment. However, I finally have found a decent picture of what the cover to the console looks like. The regular 1998+ Contours don't have this cover, but they do have the compartment underneath (just uncovered). Underneath the hinge area of this cover, where the black plastic is covering the compartment, is a void space, which in the regular Contour is a cylindrical shape - a cupholder. Do the SVTs have this 'cupholder' underneath the hinge area? Is this cover removable in such a way to expose said void area? If I ever buy an SVT, I probably wouldn't venture to take it off myself lest I break something, but I am curious. Matthew 2000 Nissan Maxima SE Sold: 98.5 Contour SE V6 ATX
