His comment was about the same as everybody else, so I hope you're not trying to rag on him, or rag on him because he changed his name ... MARKY.

BTW, i think those upgraded 98+ cupholders suck.

they help hold stuff upright, but they come so close to the console that you can't get even small 16 ounce bottles into them. it makes them worthless. even if you can you have to tilt them to about 70 degrees. if you have a coffee thermos or similar it's going all over your shifter!

i plan on grafting the two together and retaining the cool rubber removable bottom. basically i'm making my existing ones deeper without "lifting" them.

i have a 98 and the cupholders are horrible, they're less than a half an inch deep!

On my pre98, I took out the cubbie hole above the ashtray and threw it in the trash. I then placed my stereo where the cubbie hole used to be. I then got a coin and cup holder out of a Taurus( I actually stole it from my brother), I think it was a '94, and stuck in the hole where my stereo used to me. It isn't perfect, but I like it a lot.

Haha! I was actually going to do that to my Probe when I had it. Only problem was that there is only one DIN slot in the Probes, so I would have had to take out my stereo entirely. Granted I didn't use the stereo all that often, but I wasn't going to go to that extreme just for a cupholder.
