I've studied/been studied amplifier stuff too, along with the low pass, etc things. However, whats the reject rilter design??? That sounds neat!.

What is your major? I'm in the Computer Engineering program at LSSU. I love it. I've learned so much about electronics. Hopefully after this sem and next sem ill only have one sem left!

Yea, i'm a noob...

PS. Fourier series are crazy!

A band reject filter is also known as a notch filter and essentially is a combination of the low pass and high pass filter. As like other filters they have a set amplitude response and usually you assume no phase delay. With that information you are able to determine the impulse response.

Once you said notch i had the picture of what the wave form looked like. I've really only worked with high pass and low pass in my digital class. Haven't had the joy of wiring up any amps, just circuit analysis on em. That stuff can get tricky fast.

We studied filters briefly in a class called signals and system, but never went to in depth. However, I have plenty more classes to take before I graduate as an electrical engineer. The real secret to how amplifiers work can be found in an analog electronics class. To answer your previous question, I go to school at Ohio Northern University.

yea I got a crazy circuits class right now. It's all about amplifiers, transistors, inverters, and like making gates. It's a phenomenol class. Difficult, requires a lot of time but awsome class. Yea the filter class i had was entitled digital signal processing. I really dont' like it. My electronics class is much better.

okay. if you want sq definately get rid of those oval shaped speakers, they have the worst bass. definately go w/componets. as far as the basslink, its okay for a quick drop in solution. what do they use for that unit, does anyone know??? i think its a reference. if you're a sq freak, you'd be better off with a elemental designs sub, or adire, or JL. but if you really want to stick with infinity, i'd go w/ the perfect. yea the basslink is okay for that price, but i'd go out to circuit city or your nearest retailer, and give it a listen before you buy it
good luck

Ford uses 6x8s, NOT 6x9s. And the post right before ya said to get rid of oval speakers... aka put in either 6" or 8" components.

It's a little thing we've all been doing since early grade school (I hope)... read!!!

No offense c_p_w
