I beg to differ as far as 6x9's sounding that much better than 6x8's. For obvious reasons, you will get a little more bass out of a 6x9" speaker, but you will also have some advantages of using a 6x8" speaker. In my opinion the 6x8's produce a more defined sound and a good set have better mid-range response. As someone else said, your head unit is responsible for most of your sound quality. I had a pair of amped 6x8's that sounded better than any 6x9" speaker I have ever heard before. Either way, it all depends on your setup.
