Okay, never doubted you... But that is really sad, parents that cant control their 16 and 17 year olds. Even looking at this legally wise, a minor cant enter into a contract, register a car in their name, etc. So how in the hell did these kids get a hold of a Vette??? -Nick
You cannot legally have a car in your name ONLY...you must have someone over the age of 18 co-sign on the car.
The car is registered in my name but my mother had to co-sign when I bought the vehicle because I was under 18.
So yes they should be able to control them legally because they are under 18, but you never go around thinking, "You know maybe you shouldn't buy this vehicle, I see it splitting in half a few weeks from now."
Things happen, I can honestly say this weekend I was driving faster than that around 1AM (although I wasn't cutting across 3 lanes) and really there is nobody to blame but the driver.
