I for one, certainly know that I will not be driving 80+ down the interstate, cutting across 3 lanes of traffic. If I was that stupid, yes, it WOULD be MY FAULT. Who else can you blame? Sure, if I was involved in an accident and hurt or killed, I wouldn't blame "stupid people" or "old people" or "kids". But if I was driving like a maniac, it's the same thing as driving drunk--nobody else is to blame, and I would just be stupid, plain and simple. And yes, I am in control of my own actions, so I know that I won't be doing those things. I certainly don't think that it is good for other people to be killed in accidents in order to "thin the herd," but people have to be expected to be responsible. If they are not responsible enough to wear a seat belt, no one else is to blame.
