I didnt read that in the article posted. You read that somewhere else??? And if your telling me the parents cant control their 16 and 17 year olds from buying a car, it just supports my statements better that its alot the parents fault.

Okay, never doubted you... But that is really sad, parents that cant control their 16 and 17 year olds. Even looking at this legally wise, a minor cant enter into a contract, register a car in their name, etc. So how in the hell did these kids get a hold of a Vette??? -Nick

Be careful, dude - you never know what might happen to YOU tomorrow.

BINGO! Couldn't have said it better myself.

I thought you couldn't buy a car on your own until you were 21 cause when I looked at trading the tour they told me I needed my parets to co-sign with me

That's different, that has to do with your credit being good enough or not. Aslong as you are 18, then you are legally an adult and can enter a contract.

how are they not to blame? it was his decision to drive that fast in rush hour traffic. If he wasnt going so fast he probably wouldnt have lost control

dont get me wrong here, I feel sorry for the parents but the kids took a chance and now one of them is dead, how is that not their own fault?

I was 18 at the time, maybe he was talking about getting me financed or something

Exactly, I'm not saying I wish stupid people to die. But it's not like I'm going to grieve for a long time over it. Now if this idiot driver had killed someone else, that would be a reason to feel bad for THAT person.

Every driver may have the chance to be killed in an accident but at least WEARING A SEAT BELT betters your odds of NOT dying. Its just plain stupid and IDIOTIC to NOT wear a seat belt while driving. That is the point I'm trying to make. Not the fact that I could care less that the kid died. It's unfortunate, but what did he expect going that fast in that traffic without a seat belt on?
