What might turn out to be a huge GT rivalry in the next few years.

With Prodrive's success with their 550 Maranello campaign in ALMS & Le Mans, Ferrari decides to one up them with a factory model... introducing the 575GTC


6.0L dohc V-12 making around 600hp.

But before you go thinking that they'll have Le Mans on a platter, take a look at their new competition. The Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT.


Another 6.0L V-12 making around 600hp.

Of course, they'll have to mix it up with the likes of Chevy's C5R's and Saleen's S7R's. So which is your pick? Ferrari's experience or Audi-owned-Lamborghini's engineering?

dont forget that now carbon chassis cars are also legal for ALMS and LeMans rcaing- so while we already have a sad sad Pagani effort- the cars like the veyron and zonda ect are also legal -

not to forget- its not the fastest who wins - its the one ahead at the end of expired time!!

In Ferrari's case, its probably "the one who can keep their car from catching fire longest". The first year Prodrive ran the 550's they turned into big expensive bonfires. Seems like this year they've got it right tho, beating out the C5's & the S7R's in Le Mans

i know your not a newbie, but that was a newbie statement! even i wouldt say that. im a huge fan of the viper (I WILL HAVE ONE SOMEDAY). but...damn!

Tell you what tho, if these two cars are on the entry list this year, my happy ass will be at Sebring on turn 1 @ my friend's motorhome watching the carnage.

Would be nice to see some teams pick up a Nissan Z33GT and take on the 911 GT3's, M3R's, and 360's too.
