How did you manage that? Did you just drive it into the bay at the Dodge dealership or did someone actually let you drive one? A close relative of mine has a Viper who wouldn't let me drive it for anything.

A viper has a little bit of exclusiveness over a Z06, but little else.

It's nice, but it's not really a C6, it's more like a c5.5. Usually they change the body a little more. For the price, the C5 was one of the best sports cars you could get in it's price range, that's the selling factor for the C5.

Guy I know has a modded ZO6 and offered to let my friend drive it for a night (my friend that has also been in accidents twice in his own car) if he let him and his friend ride our go-karts at work. That's just $10 this guy would be saving to let my friend drive the vette for a night. And he cares more about the vette than the two vipers he owned before the vette. So that just shows it can happen how you can get to drive nice cars. Nothing wrong with the vette, but you can get more performance cheaper (cobra w/ mods) or much better looks, handling, stock performance for a bit more (viper). I'd take the viper any day over any vette.

I to have driven both vehicles, 500+hp zo6's and most recently an o4 Viper. The vette's are more predictable and you get much better options than on a viper. Plus you can tailor the suspension a little to match your performance need ( trim heights front and rear, set your corner weights without changing springs or instaling coil overs). The viper is your basic ride, very simple. You can break the tires loose on third gear very easy though. The suspension is very stiff and harsh for an every day driver. But don't get me wrong, I still love vipers (I like the early models myself). The only thing I hate about the Corvettes is the electronic throttle. It has a slow reaction time. None the less I still like them both.
