Well, I never knew that my Duratech could get up to 8k, no wonder it was so loud. Although, now it is too quiet and only goes down the hill. Just kidding.. hehe

my SVT cuts hard right as the tach hits the redline @ 6750, I expected to see some higher RPM's, was a little disapointed

I've hit the rev limiter several times in 1st and 2nd gears. No problems so far-----if I put a Superchip in, doesn't it do away with the rev limiter?

No. Depending on the programming it just raises the several rev limiters to a specific higher level.
It's hit or miss with most generic chips.
