Before my modded 2.5 bit the dust, a whole nother issue, I regularly cranked it to a SAFC approved, 7610rpm!!! I spun it in those ranges for a couple of years thanks to a freaked Superchip (many racing events). Anyhow, I never had any problems, could have been just fortunate, maybe a good motor or could it have possibly been a combination of a Solid Motor and Incredible 0w30 Amsoil Racing Oil
I forgot to mention that for at least a solid 10-15K with frequent rpm bursts was with a UDP!!!
