This is the post I was referring to. I KNOW it is before your car stalls. That wouldn't be a great habit of filling up your car. Do it before it gets lower than 1/4.

Running it very low it is not a good idea. I'm still convinced that will draw more dirt from your tank plus the risk you can run out of gas if somehow get stuck on jammed traffic.
But I don't hold to a beleif forever. If I get enough evidence that running low is BETTER than fueling before 1/4 I'll give it a try.
