First I am absolutely appalled at your demeanor towards this group. It is disheartening to think that you could turn constructive advise around and attack members of this forum. Regarding your rants about members ??finiancial? responsibilities (or lack of), I find them unwarranted and offensive. This is probably the MOST friendly, helpful, enthusiastic and involved chapter of the Contour Enthusiast Group regardless of age, or social standing. I think if you actually stopped to read thru some posts you find that we have people from all walks of life with several common interests brought together by a common denominator. But after reviewing your comments over the past few days, I am still struggling to determine what your intentions are?

You got 5 other members to offer suggestions and support before my response. I am also struggling to understand how my original post could be taken as offensive. In fact, my first post to you welcomed you back to the area and to the group. I am further mystified by your attempts to call ??every dealer in an 80 mile radius? (quick math would suggest that even if you averaged 60 mph you would still be traveling +/- an hour) but you are so quick to clearly identify your distaste to drive anywhere. I take pride in knowing that if it meant saving nearly $800, my fiancée would make the drive with me. When my car went to the shop, I opted for the fully loaded 2003 Taurus loaner vehicle they gave me for $20 a day (You however might not get quite the deal, I was able to negotiate $10 bucks off and unlimited mileage?). I??m surprised you haven??t complained that the ??stealerships? aren??t putting techs on the road to repair your car at your job site, for free!
Since you are obviously more well off than any of us will ever be, and in your infinite wisdom have determined that you have no choice but to pay for the repairs, I feel no need to continue wasting my valuable time offering up advise only to defend my suggestions.
