Perhaps it is the blower resistor pack located behind the glove box. I had to have mine replaced since the fan would only operate on low and high, nothing between.
Hello Cueball, I am almost 100% certain that the noise is comming from in the engine compartment, at first I thought it was the IAC and moosing since it just came up, however now I am not sure as it is intermittent and with less frequency, I will keep an ear on it and see what comes up and bring it to their attention when it goes back in next week.

Blower Motor/Resistor Recall
Thanks GR8, I will have them check it but I was just annoyed they said it was corrected when in reality it was not...I don't want them to just swap parts for the sake of swapping parts as this is already the second blower motor that has been installed in the car, the first time it was needed however this time it obviously wasn't.

If I were you I would call every Ford Dealer in a 2 hour radius to see if they will do the work. It is an expensive repair and like said above, your car will not pass inspection with the codes.
If you have a good job like you say you do, I am sure they will let you have a day off to get your car taken care of; otherwise you won't have a car to drive to work.
Just IMHO - But this is what I would do with my car. I always call around to see where I can get the best service, especially with Ford Dealers.
Oh, and letting cars idle for long periods of time is bad for the Catalysts. It is actually the worst things for them.
Hello ED, the issue is not my job as they will let me take any amount of time off that I desire, the problem is that 1. since I am a contractor I only get paid hourly and any time I take off is money that I am losing, 2. I have just come back from my honeymoon and financially cannot afford to take off any un-necessary time, 3. if I do drive 2+ hours out of my way and the car has to stay overnight that means either A. I rent or B. my wife also has to drive eight hours out of her way to follow and pick me up twice...as I said before while I don't mind the inconvience I would rather not subject her to that since it is IMHO totally unnecessary...these stealerships should all provide a basic level of quality that makes it so paying customers such as myself don't have to inconvience themselves, their families or their workplaces by taking valuable time away and directing it towards un-necessary commutes for repairs.
If I have to continue to do this (Call around for best service) with Ford then that is even more of a motivation to sell my car and move into something that actually has decent dealer support, wouldn't ya think?

Off topic, but just wanted to let you know that there are very few college students and no high-schoolers in NE-CEG. To my knowledge, I'm the youngest - and a sophomore in college!
An hour away is understandably a considerable commute, especially if you require a vehicle and can't get a loaner. This is a point where you have to consider what lengths of which you are willing to go to get a job done properly ... Good luck.
98, I was commenting directly to SVT and no one else really, and I find it hard to believe that there are so few highschool owners as the only people I see driving CSVT these days are those who look as if they just got their liscence....with re. your post you are correct, and while I could justify the hour or so commute I could not justify making my wife follow me out and drive me back twice for something that I know would be an overnight job, also it isn't like they are putting a supercharger or nitrous into the car, this is a simple straightforward maintence issue on a stock CSVT....why people should have to shop around and barter for differing levels of service at Ford dealerships is beyond my comprehension...

That's a tough shot there buddy. Comeon now, how do you expect to get help when you are attacking our entire group? Before you attack us like that, you should get to know us at one of our meets.
Financial responsibility or not, dealers are open on Saturday, and I'd rather drive an hour + than spend $800. Some of us that are financially responsible can't afford not to!
Two words Zgendron, reading comprehension....that was in direct response to a "quote" of the user SVT and directed at no one else....you "assumed" that I was attacking the group when in reality I was distraught with one single member for suggesting that everyone has the luxury of driving an hour out of their way on a work week just to drop off their car for service and then drive another hour just to pick it up...with re. dealers and saturday hours, I called every dealer within an 80 mi radius to where I live and none did diag work on Saturdays, they only did small time work such as oil changes and the like so that would mean either I drop it for Sat and not pick it up for longer or have to drop it during the week...plus as I said all the other dealers I called and even ford themselves said that no matter what I have to pay for this job since my car is not covered due to the california emissions system so I could take it to new hampshire and still have to pay, if anything I am lucky they are paying for 60% of the repair on this one....
