If your car is a pre 98, I would put the HVAC controls where the little storage area under the stereo currently is, and put the tv where the HVAC is now. This puts the TV closest to line of sight, and the stereo is still in the extra handy spot it always had. I've given this alot of thought, eventually I want to put in a TV, I even bought a deck with a built in tuner for that purpose. (then I can watch porn! laugh )

What I will be doing to move the panels around will be to cut out the the bar in the console that runs below the HVAC controls (the one with groves to allow for the switches), and have it plastic welded into the lower portion of the console, at the same time, I will cut out matching pieces from the bottom where the bar will be relocated to weld in where the bar came from. I'm painting all the plastic trim in my dash black so all the scars will be covered up. Like I said I've given this alot of thought.

If you have a post 98 or SVT, go to a wrecker and get a console from a pre 98, it is much more aesthetically pleasing anyways IMO.

Yeah I was thinking about going to get a pre 98 consoul today, some classes are to boring and all I can think about is my car. How much do you think the consould would run for through Bill Jenkins or whoever that is on here that sells us stuff from ford?

thanks for the help and more ideas would be appriciated.

Try a wrecker. If you live in a larger city there will almost certainly be a wrecked Tour in there for very little money. I wouldn't order the part new, although if you do, Jenkins would be the way to go. Go to Jenkins Link in the mods/parts section and you should be able to find a price.

Another idea:
Take your 64 apart. Notice how small the actual chip bord is? You could stick that under the console (in a pre 98) and have the cartridge slot line up with the cupholder spot. Some slight trimming and you are good to go. just run controller cable extensions to where the ashtray is now (you don't smoke do you?) and everything is hidden and out of the way! Even if you have a 5-speed the chipboard doesn't interfere with the operation of the shifter... I know, I'm a genious!

hm.... sounds like a good idea but where? Could it be next to the nitrous underneath the fold up passager seat like in Fast and Furious?

So many ideas and so little time---
