Or, you could just explain the Matrix Trilogy away as being pure crap, and leave it at that. They should have left it alone after the first movie.

buddhism is trying to avoid desires - basically, everytime you are upset, its because you didnt get something you wanted. so if you stop wanting [censored], you'll always be happy. anyway thats my grossly oversimplified interpretation. theres also a whole bunch of stuff about getting along with people and that kind of thing.
