there arent to many people around here. i have tried to throw out a few ideas but no one bit. i would be willing to go to one, and a guy on the boards (kyledriver83) lives in westminster and he would probably be down as well.

sorry for the hijack, but kyledriver, i have been busy, but if you still want to go for a drive or something it looks like we have a 3rd person.

bambam, if you want to take a trip up to nederland (from boulder) its a fun drive and we could get some good pics in the mountains of our svts

I can turn a wrench but I have never attempted any job quite that big (I've replaced a radiator before, but that was in a F-150 with tons of space). I dont know how hard it is, but if you are going to try I could lend a hand. Oh yeah, I have to install my DMD too, its been sitting in my trunk for about 2 months.

About cars looking pretty, mine was just wounded in battle. Caught a rock on the passenger side of the windsheild (nice crack there now) so now I have to get that replaced .

Welcome, bambam!
I'll be up in Denver/Greeley for the weekend of Dec. 13th. My old roommate is graduating.

Headers took me and 4 other people a good 6.5 hrs...with air tools. First time at headers on our cars, I'd say nothing short of 6 hours.
There's a "How-to" on the DMD. Search for it. It should take about 1 hour.

Anyone going to be around on the 13th?

I would definetely be down for a meet or drive, or something.
I don't know how to install headers, or a y-pipe,
but I have done a DMD w/mechanics help.
I'm out at my parents house in Longmont for the week (big garage),
so kingpin, if you want, we could try to install it. PM me.
And welcome to the new Coloradian!

BTW, the ypipe is super easy.
I had a sho-shop ypipe w/ cat before my headers... the ypipe is a GREAT bang for the buck.
The ypipe is very basic - unbolt 6 bolts, take old ypipe out, put new ypipe in place, bolt it up. An extra pair of hands is always nice for alligning exhaust piping.
Good luck, and welcome again!

If you guys ever decide on a drive place/time I'd be interested in tagging along w/ the lowly Zetec. If it fits my schedule, great, if not, then oh well.
