So a Zetec is more fun to work on but a Duratec is more fun to drive. In my opinion anyway.
You were riding in the wrong Zetec...mine is fun in the hills.

OK so your just not bright enough to know that you can just change your screen name on here without having to get a new one...
and yeah I have a zetec amanda doesn't.... but you know what I DON'T WANT A DURATEC. I could of gotten a duratec when I got my tour but didn't I could go get a 98 SVT today for ALOT less than I payed for my car but I'm not gonna I love my Zetec and will keep it for years to come... there have been a number of times where I have looked at getting another ford with a Zetec so I can start the real mods on the tour...

with the timing chains on the duratec they shouldn't ever have to be changed but yeah the belt on the Zetec does need to be changed from time to time, but not when your on a road trip.

Sweet heart, there are no hills where you live. The hills in AL that Rich showed us are just hills, too. Come play with me in the Mountains.

Huh? Just cause my car doesn't run (it's broke again, btw) doesn't mean you'd run off and leave me on a mean mountain road. Cloudy your judgement has become, young padawon.

The Z is a non-interference engine. That makes it the best 4 banger you can get IMHO. I got one in the ZX-2 for my daughter, then a D-tech for me to play with.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
