You should be fine. Really fit is a brand thing. Some brands suit long legs, some brands suit long torsos. If you've been riding a Gaint so far and like the fit going from one model to another shouldn't change the fit much (excluding standover hieght for full suspension bikes) unless you are going from a recreational bike to a race bike.

i personally like the fisher genesis geometry.. i liek GT alot but they are $$ for the parts.. they got some sweet frames thou.. we all gotta get pics up..

That's probably the best statement I've heard in this entire thread. Unless you've ridden a Genesis geo bike you'll never understand the concept of crisp steering (yeah I'm biased). It also benefits me that they have long cockpit lengths which suits my torso really well. If I could afford it back when I was still working in a shop and still had the time I'd be running around on a Sugar 1 built with a plethora of Race Face parts.....mmmm. I don't regret not getting one tho since my car adiciton is far worse and my knees aren't in the best shape either. Now I just have to finish (well start) saving for the Jim Russell Race School
