The same casting is used on the 3L Duratec's (Taurus), but the machining is completely different and does not work.

I guess I could have made myself more clear. I ment that the SVT throttle body was a common modification on non SVT's, not that the factory ever installed them on non SVT's. Sorry about any confusion.
