I was wondering if would be worth it buying all these items for the 30-40 hp difference, the KKM intake ($95), pro flow 75mm MAF($220), SHO Shop 37mm secondary butterfly manifold($230), SHO Shop extrude honed intake manifold($350), SHO Shop 63mm T.B.($220) Bosal Catback($550) MSDS headers w/y pipe ($600), ..............................................i currently have a different setup that runs a 50 shot of nitrous, K&N open cone filter with a polished aluminum intake pipe, and i guess you would call a custom exhaust setup no resonator with a borla muffler, sounds pretty good, not to loud, and some weight reduction i ran a 14.19 1/4 mile after a long cooldown, i wonder if i install these items if i would benefit any further performance (i know i'll gain reliability but otherwise) please inform thanks.

By some weight reduction do you mean you drive sitting on a bucket and you can't tell it's a contour anymore?

Unfortunately all that hard spent money isn't going to give you 30-40 hp, especially to the wheels. I have a 00' CSVT w/ true duals, gutted pre-cats, X-pipe and Magnaflow parts throught, along with a drop in K&N open filter (at the time I dyno'd in May 03') and all I pulled on the dyno was 168 hp, with stock ratings varying from 155-165 hp. Hope this doesn't bum you out too bad. Get the NOS and spray away , just don't go over 75 hp though

168? thats it, i would expect a little more out of that setup.

i am running a K&N open filter, bat pipe, optimized TB and MAF and no resonator. i pulled 175Hp on the dyno.

its amazing how different the results can be between different cars with only slighly different mods.

Yeah, that dosent seem right. Maybe he needs to clean out his intake manifolds or something?

EH intake manifold -not worth the money
63mm TB -no
bosal catback -not worth the money
MSDS headers -yes

Your best bet is the homeade intake setup(big K&N[ru-3530], a maf adapter and a homade heatsheild). The total cost is around $60. There is all kinds of info on the forums about why this is the best setup to use.

The majority of the people who have gone with bigger MAF's and TB's have reported a loss. Your best bet is to keep the stock SVT MAF and optimize the stock throttle. There is a how to for this on the main page.

The upper intake just isn't worth the $350 price tag IMO.

You best bang for the buck as far as catbacks would be the trubendz system. I think it runs in the $ 300-350 range with your choice of mufflers.

The MSDS headers are definately worth it.

It dont matter if you guys have a problem believing the time i ran with my mods, it depends on the driver alot, i just dont want to spend $4,000 plus on a supercharger which i have read/heard not to be to reliable, (with those mods i've got especially the N02 shot i believe i have about 260hp to the crank)with the spray of course. Thats about Mustang GT territory that runs a 14 second 1/4 mile (5 speed) whats wrong with me running a low 14 second 1/4 mile with that horsepower espcially being a little lighter and hardly any wheel spin.
