nevermind guys... i've solved the problem.
I just spend another 2 hours today testing wires and re-installing everything.
Turns out it was a bad ground contact. Had to sandpaper the ground area real good.

Another different questions though...
you guys think a 2v preamp output is decent??? I know more is better... but I'm trying to decide whether to go with the JVC SH55 or the SH99.
Major differences is that the SH99 plays MP3 and has 4V preouts instead of 2V. But I save about $60~$80 going with the 55's. Any suggestions?

Oh for those of you who wanted to know how the Bazooka sounds like...

One word... "Decent".
Keep in mind that I have a completely stock system.
I wasn't expecting it to shake the pants off me. It doesn't compare to a real 10~12" sub in a good seal box. You can still feel the bass hit, but barely... maybe with two 8"s would be better. It gives good tight bass... which is cool with me cause I don't really listen to my music that loud anyways.
So if you're just looking to "enhance" your current system... they're great. But if you like loud bass that you can feel... then I suggest a seal box with a good amp to power your 10~12" subs.
For $99... I think I got a good deal, so I'm happy.

I would get the MP3 deck for that much more. The 2V outputs won't make much of a difference with the bazooka, which as you worded it "sucks monkeys" But you can put alot of music on one CD with the MP3 disc, which I see as a great benefit. I say go spend the extra cash and feel good about it!
