Thanks in advance to anyone who helps but I have a noise issue with my 2000 SVT Tour that I just cannot figure out. The noise seems to happen when I am under acceleration and at about 2K or 2.5K RPMS, it almost sounds like somone is blowing into a tube or something, like a low "hooooooo" noise. At first I thought it might have something to do with my clutch as I noticed it once when I was letting out the clutch going up a hill, but I have since noticed it when just cruising also and at various other times. My car has 40,000 miles on it and is in relatively good shape.

Thanks again to anyone that can help.

Sounds like it could be the wheel bearings to me. Mine are going bad and I get a hum at certain speeds, try shifting into neutral when it is happening, or turn off the car. If it is still there chances are that's what it is.
