what does the engine noise sound like??? I just installed a self-amp bazooka and it's making a thump... thump... noise. Is that engine noise?

The tweeters in my C-pillars used to whine in sync with the engine RPM. One guy thought I had a turbo or something. I ended up moving my wiring to the tops of the doors instead of running them under the doorsills. That fixed it for me.

that is MY exact problem, and yes, sounds like ive got a turbo.....

Another thing I did was to insulate all me connections really well with heat shrink tubes. I also located my X-overs away from the power cable in the door sill. Finally, I covered the speaker connections with liquid electrical tape. I didn't want any bare metal exposed just in case.

check the ground on your head unit. never use the stock ground wire! ground it to bare metal.
