If that was something I experienced, I would not want to relive those memories every day of my life, and I would want to get over such an ordeal as soon as mentally possible.

I can understand your feelings for revenge, but what can you possibly do aside from letting the authorities handle it? Commit a crime yourself by beating the crap out of the guy? don't stoop to his level. Just try to be there for your girl and let her heal. You can't reverse what happened to her, as much as that sucks. The only thing she can do is move on and try to enjoy her life, and be thankful that she still IS alive. that's how I see it anyway.



The issue is that it was a friend, her friend more than mine, but I had been mediocre friends with him myself. He was a car guy! WE HUNG OUT MANY TIMES! I mean WTF! They NEVER AT ANY POINT IN TIME DATED, NOTHING! He knew we were together, and I was across the street in my friend Jill's dorm. Anyway, I want her to press charges, and her family doesn't. She is just stuck in the middle, because SHE'S MAD at him, but she just wants to forget about it. Reliving it would be hard, and she doesn't want alot of people to know. Neither do I that is why I am hijacking this thread. SORRY. But becuase I am voicing my opinion so loudly, and her family is too, she is just mad at all the people that love her. I have pushed and so has her family. Whats more is that there is no median for me to get this out. There is no...your gf was raped and now what do you do as a partner forums...I just wish I could get past my revenge thing, but its not going away. She's not even out for revenge, mostly an apology, and perhaps verification from a higher source that what he did was wrong. I think I need those too.
