Coming home from work the other night i raced my friends mini van at a stop light. I think he might've been rolling a little bit when the light turned green, but he beat me. It was pretty embarassing. My question is, should i even bother with trying to get some speed from my contour? It's a automatic '96 GL stock everything with a 16V 2.0L engine. Is there anything i can do (w/out spending some serious G's) that can give my car enough horsepower to out run a stock cavalier or accord, or am i SOL?

well put an KKM(80 bucks or so) or open air filter on there and free up your exhaust(75-200). this will help a lot.

with the zetec remember all the stuff for the focus is now for you

aside from intake/exhaust look at a new header and cam gears (venom makes some for a focus i think)

Zetec is the name of the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine used in the Contour.
