I just got the Alpine CDA-7875 installed a couple days ago. All I have to say is that it kicks ass!!! You got all these bass and sub controls that makes me wish I had a system...but that's my next move. I am actually amazed to hear some decent bass coming from the factory speakers now, but they're probably gonna blow out soon. But the Alpine has alot of features and it looks sweet.
But I have a question, does anyone know how to keep the antennae from going down when a CD is playing? I don't like that at all because I switch alot from the radio to the CD player.
There's gotta be something that can be done...sorry, but I'm not your average audio god.

I got the 7876 the day it came out and besides a TV tuner and color changing display (from green to red), there isn't any noticeable difference. If I remember, your deck is blue? If you want the antenna to only go down when the stereo shuts off, hok the antenna remote wire to the HU accesory wire instead of the HU antenna remote wire. This way the antenna will be up as long as the radio is on.

Yeah, mine is blue and silver. You know what else I noticed, the CD player skips at high speeds. I take the same way to work and back and never had it skip with the stock head unit. That pisses me off.
Anyway, thanks for the help.

If your HU is skipping, return it! No Alpine deck I've ever owned has ever skipped, no matter where I was driving. And the roads here are all terrible. If that deck is skipping it is because of a defect (unless you drive through jungle paths or 10 miles of constant railroad tracks). I'm serious, your deck should not skip, especially if the stocker didn't on the same commute.

Damn man, of course I had to get the defective one. It skips sometimes while driving at high speeds and I hit a bump or something. But there is one bump on my route home, in the fast lane, and I always hit it around 40mph or a little slower and it always skips...everyday. I actually slow down for it and it gets me everytime. Well, I guess I know where Im going tomorrow on my day off. Thanks for the info...

Sorry about your ludk man, hopefully it will just be a quick switch and you'll be on your way. My cousin is getting that same deck ASAP. For the last 5 years he's refused to replace his old Alpine deck since he doesn't like the looks of the new ones, then he saw that from across the store
