My point was not quite to imply that everything quality costs at least $500. My mistake. However, I have all of $250 invested in my setup and no one that has lsitened to it has said, "Damn that sounds like ass." No, I am not using the high level inputs, but my amp has them.
Like I said, not everyone has the same requirements for a sounds system.
