Personally I would get an aftermarket stereo first. Your stock radio will not hold up as well as an aftermarket because most aftermarket radios have a higher power rating. Aftermarket will make you interior speakers sound better and the amp will be used to full potential (a few extras are needed; wiring,etc). I've seen radios cut off (low power aftermarket & stock) when the volume was turned up when hooked to amp. You would be better off getting an aftermarket before getting an amp.
