I've never done this, I'm going by what I've been told,,, previous post is definitely correct, the following info is just what i've heard::: I've heard you disconnect the battery for atleast 15 minutes and then you can remove the steering wheel and put new wheel on and hook it all back up. You will most likely get an ABS light in your instrument cluster after the install but you can remove that bulb or wait for it to burn out. If you have passengers that ride with you, I'd leave the other airbag in and the module, if not you can remove it all. The module is located under the center console near the firewall (under radio and ashtray area). If you don't have a properly installed racing harness I wouldn't remove the airbag. Unless you don't care about your own safety, it may also be illegal and be against your insurance, I'm not sure about these things. I have a harness and the only reason I don't wanna get a different steering wheel right now is because I like cruise control and don't know how to wire it up differently to work without the stock controls...... You may want to contact deanjoyce.com because he's put a different wheel in his stique and I'm sure he'll be glad to help you. There's been a few others, but can't remember who they are.
