the damn rear tires? I jacked the rear end up, removed the lug nut cover, removed the 4 lug nuts, removed the center metal hub cover, and then attempted to remove the rear tire. I couldn't get the thing to budge! Anyone else have this problem? I had my tires rotated about 7,000 miles ago and clearly the tire shop removed the tires so why was it so difficult for me to remove them? Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for the help!

nope nothing missing, just yank like hell, sometimes the wheels rust on... also try putting the lugs back on with an impact wrench and tat might loosen up the stuck wheels.

Assuming these are your steel wheels...tap the wheel around the hub area (where its stuck) w/ a sledge

They are alloy rims (stock) and I tried wacking them the hardest I could without damaging the rims. I might just bring it back to the tire shop and have them rotate them again (it's well overdue and a free service) and that should make it easier for me to remove my tires the next time I have to. Thanks!

carefully spray sw40 between the wheel and the hub (dont get any on the face of the disc brake. block it with paper towels. also spray into the lug wells.let it soak for 15-20 minutes. then i banged on the tire from behind w/ a mallet. i have one that sticks. back left tire. next time i rotate i'll have to add antiseize to the wheel and hub

you pretty much just have to wail on the things. My rears were especially snug when I did my brakes recently.

My technique is this, with a block of wood on the wheel, hit it with a sledge. But, instead of rolling the wheel, or moving the impact point around the wheel, i.e. 1 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, etc, etc, try alternating your wacks on opposite sides of the tire, ex. 3 o'clock, then 9 o'clock, then back to 3 o'clock, then 9, you get the idea. Once it starts to come a little loose, move and alternate between 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. This method hasn't failed me yet.

And, oh yeah, like the others have mentioned, anti-sieze those mo-fo's before you put them back on!!!

Try loosening the lugs about 1/2 turn and slowly drive
the car until the wheels spin 2 - 3 rotations.
Then jack it back up and try pulling them off again.

You could also just loosen the lugs, put the car down,
and then try shaking the rear side to side...

Be careful with the shaking....don't want to damage a stud
