I'm getting an airbag code 42. I have searched the archives and know that the code means:

42=LH Primary Crash Sensor Feed/Return Circuit Open

Any previous experience with this code? Cost to repair, etc.?

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks,

Jake

Connector runs along the radiator support next to the battery. Mine acts up about once a year. Pop open the connector, spray with electronic parts cleaner, seal with a shot of sealer (kind made for electronics) and plug in. Maybe yours came apart? To find it just jiggle the wire from the LH sensor (behind the grille) and follow it. Being that it is near the battery and water pump it gets trashed.

Thanks a bunch. I could see the wire hanging out of the connector. Now I know where to look when it jiggles loose again.

Don't jiggle these wires with your ignition turned on !!!
You risk igniting your air bag !
