cca. $250-300 for all 4 mounts (the two side mounts are ~ $100 apiece and you can get the roll restrictors for $20-40) and cca. 3-4 hrs of your time.

Someone here replaced all but One mounts cause he said it was too hard to do, I'm wondering which mounts are easily "do-able" and can you use poly and rubber mounts at the same time?

all the mounts are easy to replace. The only problem I had was teh front mount and the raidator fan didnt want to go in very easliy, but a little jacking up of the motor fixed that for me.

What kind of tools are required for something like this to be done at home?

For the most part, it can be done with only a standard ratchet/socket set. It helps to have a hydraulic bottle jack, and a block of wood, to slightly raise the engine and release some of the pressure from the mounts.
To do it really right and lessen some of the guessing, it's good to have an alignment tool. This is a rigid steel device that Ford uses to make sure that the engine is properly aligned relative to the subframe. The alignment tool is essentially a rigid steel thingamajig which is installed in place of the front roll resistor. Since the alignment tool is rigid, it holds the engine in proper alignment while the remaining 3 mounts are installed. Then, when the 3 other mounts are in place, the alignment tool is removed and the front roll resistor is installed.
With a little luck, you can get the alignment correct without the tool, but it does remove some of the need for 'luck'.

Yep. The larger bolts are metric 18 (or 19?) and the smaller ones are 15. A very long (2 feet) socket extension comes extremely handy on the front roll restrictor, and for the tranny mount you have to remove the intake airbox. Otherwise all bolts are easy to access.

Now Haynes says you can't use the old bolts again so.... a)First of all do I need that funny star socket or can i use my 19mm?
b)Do i need to buy new bolts, if so, where?
c)I'm only replacing the one facing the cams, so do I need that "Special Ford Aligning Tool" that goes in the front one still?
Thanks

If you only replace one mount, you shouldn't have to worry about the alignment tool.
