My amp runs 500x1 at 4 ohms. I am not sure what it is bridged at 2 ohms. I think 450 (makes no sense to me). I want two subs though. If I was gonna spend more money I might as well just but another alchemy. What are these Stryke SAE's?

Many amps that are 2ohm stable are only so in stereo mode. The Strykes (click on SAE1204 on main page) are equivalent drivers also made by the same mfr as Shiva and Dayton, Eminance. Just a half the power handling.

One Alchemy is better than two Shivas, this site is the only shivamania site I've ever visited. I think dnewma sells these or owns stock in Shivas and Focal Polykevlar comps. hee hee

Thanks for you support Trinity....  I'll one day convince everyone here...oh and me and a couple of other guys have made the FocalJet site a shivamania site also! btw, one shiva is better than two alchemies.

On a serious note I've got two Alchemy twelves that are pretty badass, I've never even heard a Shiva. I prefer DEI SS when it comes to components, not Focal, well except for Utopias. Everyone's ears are different, or their pocketbooks.

Well another Alchemy is $230 so I will have to wait a bit. I do want two subs. I need to audition these so called shiva's

You could get one of the 12" Dayton DVC drivers and test it. Compare to the current Alchemy and go from there. Aaron
