Okay, I'll weigh in. I have had 2 JL 8W3 D4 in custom boxes in my car for about a year and I couldn't be happier. I listened to JL's 10's and 12's too and I thought they were the best sounding (most musical) subs I listened to. If you just want to slam, there are probably better choices out there for the money.
