the majority of those cars have an AT (not atx). sure its a super built up one, but thats what they use!
now would i rather have an ATX over a MTX? not a chance. id trade my atx in a second for a mtx, they are so much more fun! just thought id point out the big time drag racers alot of times will chose an AT over a MT
ODD I wonder why that John Force pro funny car driver uses a MTX... ooh wait a minute ALL of them are MTX cars along with the top fuel cars, same with pro stock they are a MTXthen lets look at WRC they use a MTX also Lemans they also use a MTX
only people I see at the track with ATX trannys are people who either can't drive a MTX or couldn't find a MTX.... hell some of them can't drive an ATX ver well... I've seen guys in WS6 T/As running 15's and 16's before which is just wrong.... it's a mid 13 second car, even with the ATX.

Even if you don't have the answer, you certainly have to admire the problem.

Ok ok, topic is a dead horse. Joe, and everyone else with an MTX, is better than the rest of us. We suck for buying ATX's and we can't drive and Joe will live longer and get more chicks. Problem solved; now let's all hug and watch Battle Bots and eat ice cream!!

ok i guess im wrong then, when i go to the track every week and when im waiting to race, i go around looking at all teh cars and talking to their owners, but i guess im wrong anyways huh?
the guy who taught me to build my engine, he used to ahve a 9 sec charger, 9.26 was his best time. he had an automatic tranny! also, i might add, his car was also N/A !

Well you said atx and mtx which are only used in FWD, so one can only assume.

Actually, automatics are very popular in drag racing because they are very consistant. Yes in some types of racing a manual is better, but the same can be said for an auto.

AT or MT are used in RWD. RWD cars don't have transaxles.
