I had the model below the one Dave listed for about a year. I had the M610, I think Simon (fst4dr) has the 630 in his SVT. I never had a problem with mine, and sold it to a Mustang (still works as far as I know) to buy a JVC Dignifine. I loved the sound and the D-Bass function was right where I wanted it. Level 1 for normal music and 2 for "DAMN! WTF was that?!?"

I wouldn't trust a motorized face from anyone. Just more crap to inevitably break.

Everything will inevibly break. Take my car for example, I count on it to break at least twice a month, and so far I'm ahead of schedule for the next year.


Half of my head units have had motorized faces-one Sony and two JVC's, as well as one Sony with a pass through face and one Kenwood with a flip down face. Out of the three styles, the pass through face is obviously the most convenient as far as ease of use, whereas the manual flip face was the worst. It's been my experience that a stuck CD is the most common problem with any CD player; which is not dependant on the type of face.

What have we learned in this thread? A good install makes all the difference. Do it right the first time so you won't have to do it again later. Take care of your productus and they will take care of you. Burgers are good and Metros are pimp.

My friend wants a metro, he talks about it all the time, I don't know why he doesn't trade his stang for one.... And my sony HU has still not giving me any problems, I just don't like how fast it sucks CDs in but I think some of you sickos mite like it.

Yeah fo real! I had a deck that would kinda suck it in and out for a while before deciding to swallow the disc. Sometimes it would spit it back out, but I knew I could almost always count on it to take it down. I love Michelle....errr...Sony.

I had one guy tell me not to buy it because his blew fuses all the time but when I checked out his system he had his subs wired down to 1 ohm .

so once again its all about how you install and care for you stuff.

well you may have had no problems with it, but with a quality sub like a w3 you should try running it off a kicker or JL amp, see if there isnt a better sq. or even jbl
