Evil1- The system was all purchased at cost with the exception of the Alpine Head Unit, Processor, and CD Changers. So actual cost that I paid is no where near what it should have costed. For example, just the Monster cable portion of the install was over $1400.00 retail for the 1 gauge, 4 gauge, 8 gauge, 16 XLN speaker wire, all of the M1001XLN interconnects, and fuses. However, I only paid $500.00. So I really can't answer your question for the price of everything. Plus, I didn't have to pay for labor.
The RMS for the system is about 2280 watts. However, we all know that a lot of power is wasted in the form of heat. I don't push the system very hard. I basically have an overkill in amplification, but it looks cool and sounds great! All of the gains are turned off except on the Class A 10.0 which is powering the 3 JL 12's. Those 12's are power hungry! All of my tuning is done through the AudioControl 4XS and the processor.
The reason behind using such large amps was to ensure I never reach distortion when turning up the volume to the I.D. Horns and 6 1/2" midbass drivers. As you know, DISTORTION is bad. So, it's obvious that I have plenty of clean power feeding the drivers.
Take care.

Looks good. The only thing I don't like is the towers in the trunk. The seem to take away from the install. Just my 2 cents.

Hey Ryan, ah, great install. I esp like the way the battery and the 1 gauge, must of been a tight fit with the hood being so close... What say we go finish tuning that bad boy sometime so you can show it off at the NorCal meet

Too bad we couldn't get it right the first time. I should be able to attend the NorCal meet before leaving the Bay Area. Ryan

Ryan,
Where in southern California are you? I need some help with my setup. I inherited most of my equipment from my bro's car. I have a 3way crossover I want to put in and I need some more power. I want to build an enclosure for my subs and amps maybe some caps. Write me when you get a chance, any help is appreciated.

Looks great! I'll bet you had fun installing that!
One question... Where did you run the power wire from the battery?
