I used to take Prevacid for my heartburn, and it worked well. But like you, my insurance company took it off its 'formulary' list. I had my doctor switch me to 'Aciphex', which seems to work OK, although it seems about as expensive as Prevacid. What did your doctor switch your prescription to?

They do have jamming devices. For 150 bucks you can get a personal jammer that blocks all cell reception for 50 feet around you. For a couple thousand, that range extends to over a mile! These are illegal to own, operate, sell, or eat. Think of the fun! Go to Google and type in cell phone jammer!

Other drivers make me crazy when they drive.

I also love people that tailgate and are completely oblivious to what they are doing. The e-brake usually wakes them up

To add, that sorta thing would make me just as angry, or more angry. Drivers that have no idea what is going on around them shouldn't be on the road. If you don't have sense enough to get out of the way, you shouldn't be driving. You seemed to handle your anger well in the fact that you didn't do anything more than honk at the person.

My doctor changed my prescription to Protonix. It is working so far. I took one at 9pm Friday and it took about 4 hours to start working. I am hoping Protonix will work the same as Prevacid.

I hate the moving road block [censored] someone going 46 trying to pass the guy going 47. I did the honking flashing headlights thing once and got brake checked but I just down shifted into the other lane and floored it past the guy.

As someone who is frequently on call, I have to be able to go out and still use my cell phone and pager.

However, I'm considerate, and if my cell phone, (but usually it is my pager) goes off, I step out of the theatre or restaurant to take the call.

A cop kinda pissed me off on my way to work this morning. I was on this country road, and the speed limit changes from 45 to 55, so when I saw the sign for 55, I set my cruise to 60, since there's always a margin of error with spedometers. I'm maybe 50 feet from the sign, minding my own business, and a cop is coming the other way, flashes his lights, honks at me, and shoots me a dirty look. All thw while my radar detector is going off. While it's cool that he didn't pull me over - he would have caused an accident by doing so, he didn't have to be such a dick by pointing out that I was observing the speed limit sign as soon as I saw it. At least this will be the last weekend day I have to work anymore. Though, the downside is that I have just finished day two of my seven days of pure hell and nothing but work. But in order to get a normal person schedule (Monday - Friday), I guess I have to make some sacrifices.

Yeah, I once had a cop tailgating me. I was already doing 10 over the limit. It seemed like he was getting closer and closer. Well, I "saw" a dog run out in front of me. He saw my tail lights, and swerved to the right. Lets just say that the car was probably totalled. He hit the curb and his front passenger tire fell on it's side the body was all crooked. But I was nice and stopped. He tried to give me a ticket. My freind in the car with me at the time was playing with his new digital cam, had video of him being on my bumper. He quickly put his book away, and called dispatch to inform them of what happened.

LOL at that cop. I've been lucky as far as getting pulled over lately. Ran a stop sign the other day (slowed down but definitely not a full stop) because I was falling a friend on a road I didn't know and didn't want to get lost. The cop was turning on to the road we were coming off of and although he did it real slow, he didn't turn around. Most cops around here are OK though I hear about some that are real, you know whats. I'm friends with the sheriff's daughter and a cop pulled her over cuz she passed him going 3mph over the speed limit and she said he almost hit her and that's why she was speeding up. Of course he didn't get her a ticket, because there is no law about passing a cop.
